Teaching
I want to help people build an understanding of physics and astronomy by exploring, questioning, and interacting.
Teaching experience
I have experience teaching, tutoring, and designing courses in physics and astronomy. Most of my teaching has been at the undergraduate and graduate levels, alongside outreach and broader science teaching for learners of all ages.
I’ve also evaluated and mentored other graduate students in their teaching, and I’ve learned a great deal from them.
Learning by exploring
Watching lectures and reading books are valuable, but learning can be too passive. For abstract concepts in science, an interactive simulation can help develop an intuition for what is happening and why.
I want to build materials and courses around these simulations, making physics more engaging and helping students connect mathematical descriptions with physical phenomena.
